In 1975, Mindy McVay Heilmann launched Mindy McVay Interiors, a residential and commercial interior design firm. She has designed interiors for residential and commercial clients throughout the Southeast.

After 35 years in the retail interior design business, Ms Heilmann sold her business and established a venue for interior designers, small businesses and architects with an interior design department to purchase many lines of furnishings and home decor at wholesale pricing.

During Ms Heilmann's interior design career there were several occasions that desired wholesale sources were unavailable to small design firms. Many companies had minimum purchase requirements and local retail stores were the only option.
